I am currently an International Development Fellow with Catholic Relief Services, Ghana office, and a recent graduate of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master's Degree Programme in International Humanitarian Action at Rijksuniversiteit Groningen (NDL), Deusto University (ESP), and German Jordanian University (JOR). My passion for working in solidarity with people facing social exclusion, particularly people who are migrating, has taken me across the world — from Belgrade to Ciudad Juárez, Amman to Melilla to Accra.I received my B.A. in Diplomacy & World Affairs from Occidental College in Los Angeles, where I also worked as a journalist and educator. Between 2021 and 2022, I researched the impact of border militarization on asylum and the decision-making of refugees in the Western Balkans through a grant from the Fulbright Program. I published an oral history collection, featuring the testimonies of 13 individuals applying for international protection in Serbia. The experience cemented my belief in creative, participatory storytelling as a mechanism for social change. I also volunteered with local refugee aid organizations and gained experience in program development, grant-writing, and direct NFI provision.I'm interested in continuing my work in the humanitarian sphere, especially engaging protection, research, AAP, and local partnerships. I eventually hope to pursue a Ph.D. blending humanitarian, migration, and anthropology studies with a transcontinental focus.My greatest skills include: Writing (academic, policy analysis, narrative, news, grants). Research (qualitative, interviewing, PAR, storytelling, open-source). Project management (log-frame, MEAL, fundraising, comms and advocacy). Direct work with people on the move (protection, education, empowerment, NFI provision, child-safe programs).
