Perform all related activities for supporting Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS) for five hospitals (Boise, Meridian, Nampa, Eagle, Twin Falls) and multiple clinics in the area, this includes:· Serving as main SLS point of contact by assisting the project consultant(s) and serving as liaison to relevant SLS committees, staff and vendors. Directs the on-going development of PACS and its applications in the clinical setting.· Collaborates consistently with key individuals to assure successful interfacing between the RIS, PACS, hospital information systems and/or interface engine.· Coordinates the building and ongoing development of the PACS system.· Tests and validates software updates. Gives direction to PACS Application Coordinators prior to updating any “Live” environment.· Develops and provides training for all levels of imaging personnel, referring physicians and other users as required.· Develops immediate action plan to resolve issues, improve service, and identify key issues raised to redesign the process or system to reduce customer concerns and ensure that issues do not occur.· Provides leadership to PACS Application Coordinators, including daily scheduling and call coverage.

Directs the on-going development of PACS and its applications in the clinical setting.· Collaborates consistently with key individuals to assure successful interfacing between the RIS, PACS, hospital information systems and/or interface engine.· Coordinates the building and ongoing development of the PACS system.· Tests and validates software updates. Conducted trainings at all the hospitals.

• Participated in McKesson PACS installations of both new installs and upgrades for numerous CHI hospitals across the country.• Provided leadership and direction on all clinical workflow calls and meetings for the hospitals to which I was assigned.• Analyzed current radiology department workflows and recommend necessary changes, if needed, to promote better use of the PACS system.• Recommended the number, type and placement of specific PACS integrated devices including Radiologist, Clinical and Technologist workstations, digital scanners, film digitizers, etc.• Provided “train the trainer” training, as well as on-going education, to all radiology staff to include radiologists, technicians, ED and clerical staff.• Attended PowerScribe 5.0 training at Nuance headquarters and now act as the primary voice recognition team resource on both new installations and upgrades of the product, providing training and technical assistance.• Lead the integrations team to provide HL7 connectivity to the HIS and RIS. Assisted with testing, as needed.
