As a Mechanical Designer, EIT, with LCA - Larouche Campeau et Associés, I am serving the Ottawa/Gatineau region with mechanical and electrical engineering services. I am tasked with multiple engineering projects at a time including the management of all activities like engineering design work of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems, project reporting and budgets.My previous experience includes working as a Mechanical Integrity Analyst, specifically with utilizing Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools to assess the thermal, structural, and modal performance of gas turbine components. I hold a Master of Applied Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Ottawa, where I led a research project on developing thin erosion resistant coatings for helicopter rotor blades using Cold Gas Dynamic Spraying. I worked alongside an industrial partner, PolyCSAM, to coordinate the manufacturing and characterization of the coatings, which was facilitated through a research grant from the Department of National Defense and Canadian Armed Forces. During this time I also published an article on my work with cold sprayed anti-icing/icephobic coatings to be used in the aerospace industry, which has gone on to win the JTST Best Paper Award.In my spare time, I also create and offer detailed Excel spreadsheet trackers and resources for the field of Applied Behavior Analysis through my Etsy shop: Behavior and Beyond.
