Founded Hiker in 2016 with my partner Addy Serum after exploring the world together and enjoying the little things like a great cup of coffee while on our adventures! We fell in love with crafting only the best coffee.Since 2019 the two of us battled mold toxicity created by our environment, causing different autoimmune conditions in both of us. Because of this, we changed our eating habits, detoxed our bodies, moved homes, got rid of 90% of our belongings due to mycotoxin contamination, and read up on all things toxic, especially mycotoxins.After learning that coffee is one of the most common crops affected by Mold and the Mycotoxins that come with it, we got inspired to lab test our coffee beans. Going above industry standards in 2024 we began testing every lot of green coffee for Mycotoxins and Heavy Metals and verifying that our USDA Organic coffee was indeed free from Pesticides. Digging deeper into our flavoring ingredients. We found almost all Natural Flavors for food can have “hidden” ingredients such as seed oils or other BS. Seed oils create inflammation in your body. When your body is inflamed it’s hard to detox any pathogens like Mycotoxins and can make autoimmune conditions worse. Out of high school, I learned what hard work is. I learned to lead by example and to serve my crew members first. I learned to appreciate nature, the air we breathe, and to love plant life/growth. I learned how things can be really tough and messy at the beginning, the process can be lengthy so have fun in the present, and the end result can be absolutely beautiful.
