Prepared and edited project proposals as well as performed company wide green house gas emission inventories. Spent time in the field as part of a team to determine traffic density and related highway noise. Used ArcGIS tools to visually contour sound projections from our field work. Gained experience using CalEEMod, a statewide land use emissions computer model, as well as collecting the necessary input data. Created environmental action plans that utilized innovative mitigation techniques so cities could stay on track for their future emission goals. This internship provided an opportunity to learn more about environmental consulting while gaining experience with the tools needed to create various reports.

Independently implemented safety audits at various construction and environmental remediation sites. I reported these results back to regional leadership. Additionally I spent time at several AECOM offices making sure the emergency procedures adhered to code and pertinent information was readily available. This included talking to the emergency response teams to ensure they were prepared to handle any situation. This experience developed my professional management skills while demonstrating my ability to be an trusted independent worker. As a part of this internship I became OSHA General Industry Safety and Health 10 hour certified. Additionally I expanded my knowledge of safety and environmental regulatory requirements as well as engineering specifications.
