About Zach Spangler
My goal is to address the intersection of climate change and real societal challenges. As an analytical and environmental chemist, I focused on climate change mitigation through renewable chemicals research and anthropogenic environmental problems such as harmful algal blooms.I have now pivoted slightly to focus on work that facilitates adaptation to the existing and expecting impacts of climate change. I will soon graduate with an M.Sc. in Disaster Risk Management and Climate Change Adaptation (DRMCCA) from Lund University’s Faculty of Engineering. As part of this degree, I am completing my thesis investigating Factors Influencing Farmers’ Readiness to Engage in Climate Change Adaptation in Southwest Washington, USA and Skåne, Sweden.I welcome opportunities where I can bring my analytical thinking, technical background, and recent education to support development of community and societal resilience.
Listed skills include Gc, Chromatography, Public Speaking, Chemistry, and 22 others.
