In June of 2021, after interning the prior summer in Kansas City, I began my full-time career with EY in the New York City office as a Business Consulting Technology Risk staff. In my capacity at EY, I help our robust array of clients better understand and assess their IT-related risk environment and the processes that help mitigate risk levels.During my time at the University of Kansas, I received an Accounting major, and completed my Spanish, Business Analytics, and Public Policy minors. In addition to my academic involvement, I also served 2 terms as the Chief of Staff for the Student Senate at KU, an organization that authors non-academic student conduct regulations and directly allocates and oversees a $25 million annual fund dedicated to student services and organizations. In addition to these items, I also served as a member of the Kansas Memorial Union Corporation Board of Directors for two fiscal years.In my final year at KU, I served as the Business Development Consultant and Institution Specialist for the Kansas Memorial Union Corporation. In this capacity, I assisted with the post-go live period of the organization’s cloud business/accounting software implementation, the successful retirement of a legacy accounting system, helped develop a framework for IT risks in the accounting process, and identified inefficiencies and remediation strategies in the physical accounting and IT accounting processes.From 2014-2021, I developed my interpersonal skills, organization habits, and task and team management skills through my work with Target Corporation as a Tech Team Member. I find that that my unique mix of leadership experience and team oriented tasks has provided me with the ability to excel in job tasks and business development.My passions and work interests include cyber security, risk environment, writing professional communications, higher education, public education, and process automation.
