As the head of marketplace for ZALORA Singapore, I am responsible for building and growing this new business unit. This includes team management, business strategies, IT feature development, sales, marketing and finance.I’ve put together a team from scratch by hiring and training staff across various functions, (sales, account management, operations, and finance) Our aim is to build a great marketplace that enables fashion merchants to increase their sales channels and for consumers to have better access to products offerings of small businesses.I manage a team of 11 staff and growing, collaborate actively with the regional team and report directly to the Managing Director of ZALORA Singapore. Such experiences enable me to learn the best ecommerce practices + management skills across Southeast Asia.Some key achievements since launching the marketplace:• Pioneer and develop the sales team to identify, pitch and lock-in > 200+ brands • Regional Collaboration - work in unison with the regional Marketplace IT and development teams for the portal launch launch• Collaborate with Marketing, Production and Onsite teams for discussions around marketing strategies, production and onsite appearance• Collaborate with Operations and Logistics teams for issues related to warehouse storage, deliveries and interaction with third-party logistics

As the Business Development Head in Travelogy, I have pioneered and built the media sales team to achieve market leader position in Singapore. This was achieved by establishing a coherent value proposition for merchants, landscape analysis, B2B marketing and sellers engagement. I am also actively involved in other aspects of the business like product development, online marketing, staff engagement and recruiting.
