Process Engineering Lead
CurrentResponsible for process engineering, controls engineering, and planning for the Evanston Silver Eagle facility. Process engineering responsibilities include monitoring and setting cut-points for a Crude Unit, Naphtha Hydrotreater, Fixed Bed Reformer, Benzene Saturation Unit, and NaHS unit. Controls Engineering involves working with Foxboro IA DCS and use of Allen Bradley PLC’s which includes all day-to-day needs as well as programming for capital projects. Planning responsibilities include gasoline blending and compliance, long term planning and economics for the entire Silver Eagle Refining organization through the LP planning program Petro Plan, and tank farm yielding and balance for the Evanston facility. Other achievements include managing the installation of a company-wide historian database (OSI-Pi) and playing a key part in increasing the Evanston facility’s gasoline production by 25% in the summer of 2013 when compared to the prior year. Also managed the implementation of a company-wide Burner Management System standard as well as the installation of the first modern BMS at the Evanston facility.
