As a stock supervisor at Vans, I am responsible for managing the operation, organization, and cleanliness of the stockroom. The stockroom is the "engine" of the store and plays a critical role in achieving the store's top 20 ranking and bringing in over $2 million in profit last fiscal year. I have proven successful in this role because of my strong communication and organization skills. In my first 6 months in the position, I was able to decrease the store's shrink results from -.91% to -.33%. This position also mandated me master SAP Fiori, the inventory management system used by Vans, as well as IBM Sterling Store which is the ecommerce and omnichannel retail system.My marketing and branding knowledge from school partnered with the inventory and logistical skill from the job has been one of my biggest benefits to the store and the company. I am able to communicate well with customers about upcoming new releases and updates about the product. It has also allowed me to greatly benefit the operations of the store by being able to greatly prepare and execute different floor-set changes, seasonal product changes, and promotional efforts.

This was my first position at Vans and is the position that really ignited my passion for branding and customer service. It also allowed me to see the benefit of building and sustaining customer relationships. I also was able to develop and hone my personal selling skills that have proven very successful. I was the top selling associate for three months in a row, bringing in about $25,000 just myself in those few months. While in this position I used many selling and marketing techniques to foster relationships with customers. By understanding different target markets and what kinds of different products and service experiences those customers look for, I could more effectively build relationships with those customers and it led to better sales.

This was a cooperative training intern position I had. This job entailed mainly helping patients with their exercises, assisting the therapists, and cleaning and organizing the clinic. One of the biggest takeaways I had from this experience is learning how to talk to people and foster relationships with patients, which I was able to later translate to sales and marketing.This position is an example of my wide experience in many different industries, such as healthcare, construction, restaurants, and retail. My experience in multiple industries has greatly benefited me because I can take skills and knowledge from one job and correlate it to another. For example, at ATI I learned many coaching and motivation techniques with patients that can also be used when coaching and motivating my team as a manager at Vans.
