I graduated RIT in 2021 with a Bachelors in Computing Information and Technologies. I concentrated on Networking and System Administration. I started with my Current employer after I graduated and took over as the sole service desk operator. Since then I have moved up to managing two other individuals on the service desk who joined the firm after me. They are the front lines of defense now and use me for guidance and escalation when needed. I strive to keep as many tickets within level 1 as possible. I treat any escalation as a learning opportunity so that in future it may not need to be escalated again. While in my role we transitioned our clients from Cisco phones to Microsoft Teams soft phones. From Office 2016 to Microsoft 365. Currently our transition from Worldox to Netdocuments, and our transition from SharePoint 2016 to SharePoint 365. The migration to Microsoft 365 allowed me exposure to a fresh environment where I could help build everything from the ground up. With no one a real 'master' of the system in our department I had to learn much of what I know about 365 on my own as things were needed. Recently I was tasked to move the firm to SharePoint 365. I built our new SharePoint site from the ground up by myself with User feedback to help ensure it fit the companies needs.At home I have my own network rack. I am a personal fan of ubiquity due to its low cost (I really like this reason) and its ease of use. I also have a TrueNAS system setup for my network. In there I have my storage and any virtual machines I may need.
