As part of the American Cities Climate Challenge, I work with the City of Philadelphia to help it achieve ambitious climate-related goals in the buildings and transportation sectors.

• Lead the technical assistance efforts of SolSmart, a nationwide solar energy program for local governments funded by the U.S. Department of Energy.• Oversee the $12 million SolSmart technical assistance grant and manage eight partners, including staff from the National League of Cities, National Association of Counties, National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), Cadmus, RAP, EPRI, SEIA, and Brooks Engineering.• Directly engage municipal and county leaders and staff in the over 300 communities nationwide participating in SolSmart.• Represent SolSmart at local, regional, state, and national events, and present on solar energy best practices.• Provide direct technical assistance to municipal and county staff to help them achieve solar-related goals. • Complete reporting required by a federal grant and ensure compliance with 2 CFR 200 requirements.

• Provided local governments nationwide with technical assistance to help them achieve solar-related goals and implement solar-friendly policies.• Successfully managed a remote vendor engagement that provided technical assistance to 15 communities in the Chicagoland region, leading to the broad adoption of adoption of pro-solar policies. • Represented SolSmart at local, regional, and national conferences, and presented on solar best practices for local governments.• Developed communications collateral for SolSmart.
