Worked as a research assistant for Judith Schultz, a professor here at Washington State University. She was in the process of "flipping" her Kinesiology 461 classroom in which class activities, labs, and other supplemental material will be taught in class, while lecture material will be accessed outside of the classroom via the internet. I and another colleague worked to help create the activities, labs, and supplemental material to be taught within the classroom. In the Fall semester of 2014, one section of the 461 class will be taught in the traditional classroom setting and the other section will be taught using the "flipped" style that we developed. The two grades from each sections will be compared to determine the effectiveness of the "flipped" classroom environment.

Volunteered as an intern in the varsity weight room at Washington State University. I worked with various school sanctioned athletic teams including; baseball, men's cheer, women's soccer, women's volleyball, track and field, cross country, women's novice rowing, and women's tennis. I helped motivate the athletes and provided adjustments and coaching toward lifting technique. I worked along side the strength coaches to maintain efficient and effective strength programs that are sports specific. I also helped maintain weight room cleanliness and organization.

Worked as a deckhand on a private commercial fishing vessel. My duties included engine maintenance, boat cleanliness, cooking, and other various task. The captain and I worked long hard hours in less than ideal conditions. I learned the value of perseverance and hard work through this experience.

Helped wood frame residential homes in the greater seattle area. I worked for this company for three summers in between my college school years. I held a wide variety of duties and gained vast knowledge in building process
