I am a graduate of the University of Florida, College of Pharmacy located in Orlando. My passion for medicine lies in forming strong connections with patients and helping to ensure they are set up for success. Pharmacists are in a unique position to make important changes in the lives of both individual patients and populations as a whole. I also believe that through implementation of evidence based policy changes we can create a positive impact on entire populations of patients and make meaningful impacts in patient health.I have broad interests in pharmacy and have opportunities to experience pharmacy practice at the individual patient and population level. I have experience in helping to modify and update specialty pharmacy electronic systems with guideline directed therapy and potential therapy modifications to maximize patient success on expensive therapies. I also have experience in pharmacoinformatics and have used LiveCode to implement changes in hospital electronic programs to help ensure patients receive guideline directed therapies. I believe that these tasks are best accomplished when working as an interprofessional team with input from all aspects of medical care. My experiences in clinical pharmacy practice have allowed me an opportunity to provide medication management services to patients. This has included experiences in hospital practice, where I provided education to patients with heart failure, ACS, and other cardiac conditions. I have also had the opportunity to work in the VA and provide management services for chronic conditions like hypertension, heart failure, and diabetes.
