I am currently in my fourth year serving the Garland ISD community as a teacher. I work at GISD’s Newcomer center for students who are in their first year in the United States. I teach Algebra 1 and the Students with Interrupted or Inconsistent Formal Education (SIFE) for the program. I hold certifications for Mathematics 7th-12th and English as a Second Language (ESL). Our mission is to provide an opportunity for first year immigrants to gain English skills and allow them to gain experience in Texas Public Education.
