On June 6, 2023 Frontier Tutoring was acquired by North Star Tutors Inc

I was a board member for the 501(c)3 non-profit Fairbanks Light Opera Theatre. I helped make business decisions to ensure the viability of the organization as well as creative decisions regarding what shows the company should produce and how they should be produced.

The North Star Youth Court is a 501(c)3 non-profit and my position was as a volunteer. As chair of the board of directors my job was to help make logistics and business decisions to improve and maintain the smooth operation of the non-profit. In my tenure as chair, I facilitated 2 bylaw reviews, a complete restructuring of the program, and successfully helped to reduce operating costs by over 40% with no reduction to the services performed for the community.

I provided extensive technology disclosure due diligence to determine the history and viability of a grant or patent proposal. I also supported and helped manage many different projects including a student internship program, and a K-12 outreach program.

I was in charge of leading the sales team and driving sales, credit card signups, and other key performance indicators (KPIs). I was meant to develop and implement methods of improving KPIs. I managed the sales associates and ensured that they had what they needed to perform at their best, as well as having coaching talks when they didn’t meet expectations or made mistakes. I also handled the closure of drawers, balanced daily financials, generated inventory reports, performed routine reviews, and trained newly hired sales associates, as well as other sales leads. I was frequently the manager on duty and was responsible for customer service escalations and ensuring a positive customer experience. I further assisted with numerous overnight inventories, as well as product redistributions to optimize product placement.

I was responsible for shooting photos and videos of events, photo/video editing, website support, the purchasing of services and equipment, and making decisions regarding the best technology for a growing production company. Full discretion was given to me regarding all technology in use and purchased for the company.

I developed customer relations and drove sales through customer engagement and extensive knowledge of camera equipment from both a technical standpoint as well as a user standpoint. I extensively studied and researched the products I was selling, and developed meaningful relationships with our customers to drive repeat business.

I was in charge of approximately 1500 devices at 3 locations across Fairbanks. I did primarily desktop, POS, and printer support, but my responsibilities sometimes extended to network support as well. Extensive use of Active Directory and ticket management software, as well as remote viewing and administration software. I worked with little to no oversight as my immediate supervisor was based out of Seattle. I supported the continued smooth operations of all facilities that fell within my scope.

I was responsible for writing lesson plans and developing projects, ensuring good student behavior, instructing the students, and testing their knowledge. I was also responsible for assigning grades and evaluating their performance. I gained a lot of experience in explaining complex concepts to young children (4th-7th grade). I taught them the basics of computers, typing, coding, and some complex math and computer science concepts as well.

I shot photos for a variety of events including weddings, a TEDx talk, and more. I edited the photos using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, and Adobe Bridge, and provided the edited photos on time to clients.

I assisted with video-advertising production 1-2 times per year.
