I just finished my second year at The University of Cincinnati studying to be an aerospace engineer. This past year I have been enrolled in an engineering and design class. Our most recent project was to build a robot and program it to do things such as following a line using sensors, pick up boxes, scan barcodes and sort the boxes by means on the barcode and weight. My group and I have put in many hours of work and it was frustrating at times but overall I really enjoyed the project. I have learned so much about designing, building, and programming. Outside of school I love to build anything I can. My mind is always hungry to learn more. I have taught myself most of what I know about electronics and utilized it to build a wirelessly controlled car and even an electric skateboard. My classmates, friends, and co-workers have described me as a motivated leader who is passionate and hard working. In the past I have had a great amount of leadership experience. I used to be a retreat team leader for two years and my local church. I would collaborate with other leaders to organize retreats for teens and actively lead them through all of the events we had planned.I will be graduating in May of 2026 and plan to pursue a career in which I can work on a team involved in projects that change the future of knowledge and science. It may be a prodigious goal, but goals that aren't pursued are just dreams.
