I am a full-stack software developer/engineer and Army veteran.In February 2023 I began work as a Software Engineer with Lockheed Martin Space. It's an incredible opportunity that I've been given, and I enjoy delivering my best effort here. I've been exposed to new technologies like Spring, Angular, and Apache, and I love being able to collaborate with my colleagues about how to make use of them. Lockheed has provided me with responsibilities matching and challenging my skills especially as a front-end engineer.In October 2022 I began the Operation Level Up software development immersive offered by Galvanize. The 18-week program is part of the overarching Department of Defense's Career Skills Program. I spent roughly 700 hours taking on extensive hands-on learning and practice in the JavaScript coding language, using tools like React, Next.js, Node.js, Express, and PostgreSQL. I enjoyed this class so much it was hard to call it quits at the end of the day sometimes. I loved that there was such a focus on developing students' abilities not only to become self-sufficient developers, but also to work effectively as part of a team.In 2018 I enlisted in the US Army as a 35N Signals Intelligence Analyst. I gained such unique opportunities and experience during my enlistment that can't be found anywhere else. I am confident in my ability to not only lead my team members, but to teach them and help them surpass what we might have done alone. I honed my critical thinking skills, as well as technical writing and briefing skills. I became familiar with working in a multi-entity, globally focused organization, and I learned how to drive multiple geographically distant teams towards a common goal under a strict deadline. I am proud to say that I am more than just a skilled worker, but also a leader. I exited service in October 2022.I have received a Bachelor's Degree in International Security Studies with a Minor in History and focus on Russian and Eastern European Studies (REES) from the University of Oklahoma. As a result, I have developed strong writing abilities, as well as analysis, quantitative research, comparative studies, and Russian language skills.
