Using my self-taught film editing skills, I produce and edit videos to increase ad traffic, boost sales, and build team knowledge and morale at Content Cucumber, a Bloomington startup dedicated to making the internet a better place through written content creation for other small business. This experience demonstrates my creative mind, my ability to function effectively while working remote, and, as cofounder Chris Chasteen claimed, use my scrappy nature to develop engaging video content. -Create, direct, and edit weekly video content to boost website engagement and customer satisfaction, often juggling three to four videos at a time.-Engage remotely with coworkers, clients, and partners to improve company growth and brand awareness, doubling our client base since my onboarding in May.

This past summer, I worked as a marketing intern with Kenny Kent, learning about the marketing, selling, and advertising of Toyota, Lexus, and Chevrolet automobiles. Working autonomously, I self-taught myself how to fully use and optimize a Nikon camera, taking photos of the dealership, employees, and vehicles. I also recorded informative videos, covering the design and functionality of the dealership's newest models. This summer, I worked with the produce team at my local grocery market, helping provide nourishing produce to members of my community. Working full-time, I organized the preparation room and freezer, efficiently moved produce from the docking bay to the store-front, and provided customers with a welcoming experience. During the Summer of 2017, I worked daily with children from an impoverished area of my town at a local elementary school, teaching them the value of honesty, teamwork, and respect through sports, art, and field trips. I was able to witness children, many whom lacked a parent, grow as individuals. -Supervised children in summer school and taught games, watched movies, and demonstrated the importance of teamwork and respect-Oversaw kids during visits to important locations in town, such as the fire station and a local college, and educated the students about important life lessons resulting in strengthened values within the children.-Accompanied the students in activities such as tag, basketball, and soccer, formed bonds with the kids, and demonstrated care and compassion, showcasing the significance of friendship and sympathy.Skills Gained or Strengthened: Care, Patience, Commitment

The United Caring Shelter provides clothing, food, shelter, and warmth to the growing homeless population in my hometown of Evansville, Indiana. A peer and I organized a volunteering team to sort, organize, collect, and distribute clothes to homeless individuals in the region. Volunteering twice a week, I had the opportunity to directly fix a saddening problem in my town.-Collected clothes from students to be delivered to homeless individuals directly or to be given to Goodwill for distribution, thus homeless individuals were provided with clean, new clothes.-Organized piles of donated clothes to be sorted and shipped to Goodwill and other community-benefiting organizations, resulting in mass distribution of clothes for the homeless.-Advocated for more student volunteering at United Caring Shelter and informed my classmates on ways to help through homeless shelters, resulting in an increase in participation at the United Caring Shelter.Skills Gained or Strengthened: Compassion, Awareness, Sympathy
