IGS has been in the Natural Gas and Electricity industry for over 33 years. We are the largest privately held supplier in the space. Throughout the internship, I worked directly out of our Chicago office allowing me the opportunity to work around motivated young individuals. Each day consisted of the following: - Blocking off my schedule to prospect, cold call, send follow ups, and introduce myself to others within the company. - Prospecting involved working through a leads list given from our leadership group and utilizing platforms to find new opportunities. - Conduct meetings with prospects to drive financial stability and industry knowledge into their organizations. - Goals throughout the week - 70+ calls/daily, 2-3 scheduled meetings, and to learn more about a role within our company.

As an agent assistant, I have the opportunity to work with new and existing clients. Whether that be to assist with new policies, work through billing statements, and/or reach out to potential customers. I am also responsible for the development of our social media, via LinkedIn, Facebook, as well as American Family Insurance's main page, Hearsay. Working with clients has developed my communication skills through 25+ inbound & outbound daily calls. Our agency believes in creating positive relationships through providing product and service knowledge.

I was accountable for working and managing a small crew that would receive jobs which ranged from days to weeks long. Our crew specialized in exterior and interior painting/development of homes, commercial buildings, businesses, etc. Jobs quotes would range from 3k-10k. I joined Great Cover Ups to engage in physical labor, develop customer relationships, and to evolve as a leader. Unexpected scenarios often took place while working at jobs sites. This profession forced me to overcome and quickly solve problems through team work and communication.

In the winter of 2019-2020, I was given the opportunity to help with a baseball camp. I coached a group of 20+ young players, positively coaching them through my personal experiences with the game of baseball. I enjoyed the hours I spent giving back to young athletes in my community, allowing myself to be put in their shoes. Between the ages of 8-13, every athlete desires guidance and quality coaching. By the end of camp, each one of my players had grown as a leader and understood the importance of hard work. Important life qualities are built through effective guidance.
