Growing up close to The University of North Texas, I was given the chance to explore my passions of design in the local community, through both music and interior design. Through the Interior Design program at UNT I earned the chance to develop a strong sense of design through multiple semesters covering techniques such as space planning, furniture design and design development. With studio classes like Space Planning, Building Systems, and Detailing, I have acquired the many skills to understand both construction and spatial creation. Mentors of various levels administering multiple critiques throughout the program helped to create a sense of curiosity and growth in my education.Through specialized classes such as lighting design, green materials, and space planning, my understanding of interior space has been refined to standards at the professional level. Topics such as: sustainability, universal design, and historical preservation have been the foundation to this education.
