Selection is completed by winning a 3 Minute Challenge Competition, where students are challenged to concisely present their research in just 3 minutes. I am developing mathematical and computational tools to understand how cells both use and mitigate stochasticity to carry out essential biological functions. I am also developing tools to help fit and robustly predict full probability distributions of single-molecule, single-cell stochastic gene regulation data as they evolve with time.

Undergraduate research in systems biology. Using mathematical and computational tools with single-cell HIV measurements, I hypothesized an alternative gene regulatory mechanism that allows for more robust HIV latency/lysis decisions.
