For the entirety of my life, my parents owned and operated their own business. The bar business has taught me everything I know in that industry, from how to flip a bar stool, to the beginnings of becoming general manager. I have been present at the contract table, and I've been present when the floor in the new building needed to be ripped up with the back of a hammer. In other words, when it's a family owned business, the whole family keeps it running. I'm super proud of and extremely grateful for the work ethic that was instilled in me through those opportunities. Even more so, I'm very fortunate to take those skills and move on to other ventures in my professional career.
