Production worker on paint dip line for cast iron pipe fittings. Required to inspect, clean and process incoming product, run through paint dip, and palletize and process outgoing product, operating chain hoist and forklift as necessary to ensure continuous production.

Hired on directly to the company to work in print and die room. Required to read run list on company software in order to prioritize incoming orders, prepare print and cutting dies, and deliver tooling to the production floor with paperwork; also to inspect, clean, repair and store used tooling as well as perform emergency cutting die repairs. Built spreadsheets to track inventory, location, and repairs.

Worked with CNC taper crew to run product, learn the machibe and suggest improvements based on engineering principles in order to reduce production bottlenecking.

Worked for Cooling and Applied Technology, Inc. as a general laborer. Tasks included cleaning the inventory yards and assembly floor, surface finishing and machine forming of large precut stainless steel parts, preparing orders for shipment, reorganizing certain inventories, machining and assembling parts and assemblies from blueprints, and operating/troubleshooting a CNC Swiss lathe while verifying product dimensions.

Worked for the University in various maintenance and office capacities. Initially responsible for updating the Energy Star information for the University for several years of utilities in order to determine qualifications for Energy Star ratings, then performed various office tasks until sent to document the location and purpose of all nonresidential rooms on campus. Moved to the electrical department and replaced fluorescent lamps and ballasts. Hired onto the full-time staff in October 2012 with the Landscape and Grounds department, applied existing knowledge to maintain and install landscape elements in beds and assist with plant propagation in the greenhouse. Trained in tree identification, assessment and trimming as well as the use of heavy equipment for light earth-moving projects. Responsible for vehicle safety checklists.

Assisted in site clearing and setup of a retail shop for plants and landscaping supplies. Subsequently responsible for all shop operations, including sales, cashier, inventory arrangement and maintenance, opening and closing, large order loading and customer service.

Employed by the Bureau to conduct Census interviews in Heber Springs. Developed skills in mapreading and navigation, bookkeeping, interviewing and situation assessment while following all Bureau protocols regarding case reporting, protection of Personally Identifiable Information and timesheets.

Employed full time during the warm months, and part time during the winter months, with breaks for classes in 2007 and 2008. Learned how to care for nursery merchandise both inside and outside a greenhouse, propagate and pot plants, assist customers with questions about merchandise, and perform landscaping tasks including sod laying, sod removal and dirt work, weed barrier and killer application, installation of plants and irrigation, retaining wall construction, rock work, bed mulching, fertilization and the proper trimming and care of various plants.
