In September of 2011, the summer after graduating high school, I was hired at Meshoppen Stone Inc. as an equipment operator running excavator. About a year later when work slowed down I was put in the garage as a night shift maintenance technician just for grease jobs, changing oil and fixing lights. Fast forward to April of 2016, I was promoted to shop supervisor of a fleet of over 100 trucks. At just twenty-three years old I took on the responsibility of making sure our fleet of long haul trucks, dump trucks and water trucks were properly maintained and repaired effectively with minimal downtown. In the four years from when I started in the garage to when I was promoted to supervisor I learned everything I could from the more experienced technicians and from online courses. I'm a fast and efficient learner and have overcome every obstacle thrown my way in my time as a technician. I enjoy a challenge and always look for more ways to improve myself as a technician.
