My earliest career goals were to go into criminal justice and if I was going to do that I wanted to join the most elite police organization there is, The United States Secret Service. I completed my Bachelors degree at the top of my class and started my application process for my dream job. My dream fell short due to some uncontrollable physical restraints. I found myself without a plan for the first time in many years. Another job presented itself and I found myself in the Automotive service writer field. With little knowledge in my new career it gave me an opportunity to learn new skills and hone my people skills.Over the next ten years I became proficient in my new career and gained the respect of my peers and the trust of my customers. Although the thoughts of my first career path was always in the back of my mind. Always on the look out to somehow connect to a criminal justice job. Upon discovering the incredible need for trained Cybersecurity personal, I decided to take the first steps needed to start a new journey in my professional career. After completing my Springboard bootcamp and gaining my CompTIA Security+ certification I plan to start a new career as a Cybersecurity engineer specializing in ethical hacking.
