Labor for Treaty is a grassroots organisation for Australian Labor Party members and supporters who stand in solidarity with the Sovereignty movement.We aim to put Treaty back on the Party agenda by raising awareness around and promoting discussion of the history of Treaty as well as current issues and proposals.We believe it’s time to set out in formal terms the rights and responsibilities of the relationship between Indigenous and non Indigenous Australia. We believe it’s time for the Australian Government to make Treaties with the First Nations of this land.

The Australian Fabians was established in 1947 and is Australia’s oldest, continuous political think tank. The Australian Fabians Inc. is a Not-for-profit, membership organisation, incorporated in Victoria, Australia.For over 65 years the Australian Fabians have promoted debate and research into political ideas and public policy reform. Fabian publications have played an important part in determining both state and national political agendas.Gough Whitlam adopted the Fabian approach from the day he entered parliament, and the seminal 1972 Whitlam policy speech – the most comprehensive program ever submitted to the Australian people – was a drawing together of twenty years of systematic Fabian planning and research.Arthur Calwell before him was proud to call himself a Fabian, and the tradition has been carried on through subsequent Labor leaders including Bill Hayden, Bob Hawke, Paul Keating, Julia Gillard, Bill Shorten, John Cain, Don Dunstan, John Bannon, Neville Wran and Bob Carr.

From humble beginnings in 1897 Germany, Caritas, named after a Latin word meaning love and compassion, grew to become one of the world’s largest humanitarian agencies. The Catholic Agency for Aid and Development, Caritas began in Australia in 1964. And many people, then and now, feel that supporting Caritas is a great way to reach out to people in need.Caritas' Australian Indigenous program was established in 1972 and renamed the First Australians program in 2012. We work in partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples towards the common cause of strengthening Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander initiatives and solutions. The projects we support are shaped by the priority to strengthen cultural identity and spirituality, and centred around the importance of strong inter-generational relationships and healing. Our partners work in many various ways that include supporting health and wellbeing, developing culturally meaningful enterprises, re-establishing community leadership structures, fostering healing and understanding of intergenerational trauma, training families in financial management, and developing youth leadership and connection to culture.

Transport crashes are a major cause of death and serious injury in Australian children and Aboriginal children are at increased risk. While age appropriate child restraints protect young children against crash injury, use in the community is low.The project team has developed the Buckle-Up Safely program which includes educational resources, training of health and education workers, provision of low costs seats and free fitting. This program has been shown to be acceptable in a pilot evaluation in two Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services.The Buckle-Up Safely program will be delivered in partnership with local community organisations in 12 locations across NSW and effectiveness evaluated.

The ACTU is the peak union body representing almost 2 million Australian workers and their families.When union delegates gathered in the Victorian Trades Hall in 1927 to establish the Australian Council of Trade Unions they had a clear vision - to lift the living standards and quality of working life of working people.And their strategy to achieve this was also clear – to build union organisation of the workforce on a national basis.More than 80 years on the ACTU, its affiliated unions and their members celebrate a proud record of achievement on behalf of working Australians and the community.The industrial gains are many: decades of wage increases through the award system and campaigns in the field, safer workplaces, equality for women, improvements in working hours, entitlements to paid holidays and better employment conditions, and the establishment of a universal superannuation system.The ACTU has played a role in all of these achievements, but has contributed to fairness and justice in the community as well – contributing to Australia’s post-war development and immigration program, the social security system, Medicare and education - to name just a few areas of policy.

We do this by providing opportunities for people to have a say in decisions that affect them, their families and everyone working and living in Sydney. The Sydney Alliance is a non-party political organisation.Blacktown Mt Druitt Working Start is a project of Sydney Alliance's Blacktown-Mt Druitt District. This is a partnership of organisations and congregations in the Blacktown-Mt Druitt Local Government area e.g Catholic and Uniting churches in Blacktown and the union United Voice. The project's mission is to "serve as a bridge between unemployed and underemployed seeking living wage careers and employers seeking workers, thereby transforming lives and benefitting communities in the Blacktown LGA"
