My hiring manager charged me with one task: “Make data and analytics more accessible to our Product Marketers.” How I accomplished that task was entirely up to me. Here’s a look at what I have done so far:- Founded and led an in-house agency-style analytics group called the Consumer Insights Hub (CIH) o Our mission includes briefs, data education, and innovation- Take on 10-15 briefs a month from clients of all product disciplines with my two-person team- Write and publish monthly newsletters to teach our clients about CIH innovations while also focusing on data education- Conduct roadshows / sales calls with different academic discipline groups to showcase our services and continually generate more briefs- Constantly keep track of similar briefs to develop Tableau dashboards - Develop innovative projects using a combination of 1st and 3rd party datasets. Here are some of my favorites: o Developed machine learning models to adapt 3rd party enrollment data with Pearson sales to develop the single source of truth for market share, takeaway targeting, and BCG matrix for Pearson Marketing and Sales o Complete revamp of survey analytics. Using Python and Tableau, I created a methodology that converts raw SurveyMonkey data into filterable Tableau dashboards which allows are practitioners to quickly customize and understand their survey results to gain insights. This includes natural language processing such as ngram and automated sentiment analysis to effectively cumulate open-ended questions. Additionally, I developed a survey guide which includes tips and tricks for developing surveys and information about our pre-survey consultation for a total end-to-end qualitative analytics services. o Total available market (TAM) analysis comparing Pearson sales to projected enrollments for each product across the US. This led to better understanding our gaps and where we might be losing to 3rd party sellers and piracy. o Begun the Lifelong Learning Trends project which revolves around better understanding student learning trends using multiple 3rd party sets including scraped and search trends dataIn summary, I specialize in understanding company problems that can be solved with data and developing innovative solutions with practitioners in mind.

The job included effectively managing escalated and unique situations, reestablishing trust with clients, maintaining multiple sensitive client relationships simultaneously, working closely with actuaries to resolve client issues, training of newer employees, and assisting managers in various duties. -
