Lokai's vision was to transform agriculture via fleets of autonomous electric field vehicles that would continuously perform tasks such as planting, spraying, and monitoring. We built a prototype electric skid-steer AV that traversed corn fields carrying a load of several hundred pounds.

Lead engineering and devops at a successful startup that powered computer vision-based photo marketing campaigns for major consumer brands, including a PepsiCo promotion during the Super Bowl. Designed and built elastically scalable event-driven game engine, photo-sharing site, web services, and image recognition database using Scala and C++. Operated all infrastructure on AWS.

Developed bioinformatics software for modeling metabolic and regulatory networks included in several publications and part of on-going research project. Developed novel methods for analyzing the results of data mining algorithms using high-dimensional data visualization techniques. Supervised two undergraduate research assistants.

Researched methods for visualizing multivariate relational data using graph layout algorithms, scatter plots, the grand tour, and linked brushing. Practical applications of the research include fraud detection, social network analysis, and customer identification.
