Responsible for 130 Soldiers, four pieces of tactical infrastructure and property valued at over 100 million dollars. Led operations to increase indigenous security force capabilities, develop dependency between Afghan government organizations and tribal power structures. Interacted with international aid organizations to increase economic opportunity and provide immediate relief from poverty.• Used personal interactions to lead diverse interest groups in recognizing common goals and developing solutions to collective problems• Re-organized Soldiers, equipment and facilities to meet changing mission requirements• As a result of increased security and support between local and regional power structures, the Arghandab River Valley transitioned to Afghan led security and governance efforts
