During my time in the Wolff Center for Entrepreneurship and the Program for Excellence in Selling at the University of Houston, I had the opportunity to get taught by professors who had real-world experience, learn experientially, and truly develop myself personally and professionally. Going through these programs, I realized that I didn’t want to just graduate from these programs and call it quits; I wanted to be on the other side of it. I had a strong desire to help build a program within a university. After graduating, I didn’t start a business, take the corporate route, or go into a sales role like many of my peers. I remained patient, and I got my first shot at higher ed as a Career Specialist. I grew so much in this role, as I became skilled at event planning, 1-on-1 career advising, and creating professional development content for students. I am currently doing exactly what I envisioned myself doing after discovering my purpose. I am a Program Manager at my Alma Mater, the University of Houston. I am excited to work every day to help our students at the Stanford Alexander Center for Real Estate gain the resources, ideas, and vision to become extraordinary in their lives.
