Previously employed in the United States Air Force as an Aircraft Structural Maintenance Specialist. Throughout my 10 years in the military, it has taught me many skills and traits such as being a good leader as well as a follower, managing personnel and time to be most efficient and complete the task at hand, and critical thinking to solve problems that arise when there is no guidance on how to do so.Since 2021 I have felt more passionate about IT, specifically cybersecurity. First I had troubleshot a computer that would fail to boot properly and found that the hard drive with the OS installed on it was corrupt. This had saved my colleague thousands of dollars since instead of buying a new PC he was able to invest in the faulty hardware.After this instance I went down the rabbit hole of using the command line I downloaded VMware and Kali Linux to test myself on Hack-the-Box as a hobby. I have pursued further education in this field by earning my Security+ certification and wish to get more hands-on experience to further a career in cybersecurity!I am currently employed as an IT Support Technician at Provalus. My daily tasks consist of assisting end users both Domestic and Internationally troubleshoot software and hardware issues on computers and printers. Throughout my time here I have quickly rose through the ranks and have been hand selected as the Major Incident Coordinator that responds to Service Outages/Degradations. Not only that but I have been promoted to the Knowledge Base Manager in which I oversee the publication and revision of articles used by fellow technicians as well as Self Help documents used by the end users. Through my time with the company, I believe I have gained an incredible amount of hands-on experience in the IT field to excel in the Cyber Security space.
