CurrentDuring my time in this key leadership role in the Office of the City Manager, I have led efforts across 22 departments to create opportunities and remove barriers for people to connect, understand and become involved with their local government. I am responsible for the overall operations, policy creation and budget preparation and I manage a people-focused team ranging from 311 call center representatives to administrative employees and creative experts. I have extensive experience and expertise in leveraging performance measurement data and qualitative data to guide decisions and create or improve new programs or services. This opportunity allowed me to build on my decades-long approach to changing how we listen, engage and think about City services delivery. In this role, working with employees and residents, I facilitated and managed projects including topics such as strong neighborhoods, inclusive communications, employee retention and social justice efforts by using human-centered design principles and methods.
