In 2010, I played my first year of soccer in college. This was a huge achievement for myself as I dedicated 18 years to become better every day for the chance to play in college. While I played soccer in college I learned two valuable lessons, which I've applied to my life.The first lesson is, don’t ever be satisfied with where you’re at, but continue to learn and practice to be the best you can be.The second lesson I learned is how to be a leader. From my leadership experiences, I've learned it means to lead by example and help others have success. In order to help others have success, it requires you to be well organized and communicate clearly so everyone knows what they need to do to get the job done.My journey for software development really starts back in 2014.I had recently started a sushi restaurant and didn’t have any money in the budget to hire a graphic designer, marketer or web developer.Determined to be successful, I learned how to use adobe illustrator and photoshop to create my menus, logo and other content for my social media pages.Then, I learned HTML and CSS to create a professional looking website for my business.That was my first interaction with web design and development and I was hooked!So, in 2018 I decided to use the skills I had learned like graphic design, web development, videography and become a freelancer to help other businesses in the Treasure Valley grow and have success.Then, in 2020 I had an idea for a SaaS company. I knew I couldn’t do it by myself so I formed a team of software developers to help create the product. Working on that business alongside so many great developers really made my love and appreciation for software development explode.In 2022 I attended an accelerated three month software development bootcamp, where I strengthened my knowledge of HTML, CSS, Bootstrap and JavaScript and learned MVC, Node.js, MongoDb, C#, Web API and Vue.
