Here at Cision, I am responsible for much of the PowerShell based IT automation (non-devops) as well as being the SME for Okta, AzureAD, and Intune (Microsoft Endpoint Manager). I developed and scaled our Intune based Autopilot for Windows devices and gave our Mac users a similar treatment with DEP/ABM. I have helped bring our Okta environment to over 300 applications, many being fully SAML.I’m highly proficient with PowerShell automation as well as PowerShell based GUI building (using SAPIEN). I built an application used by our IT teams to automate Active Directory user management, Okta application access, and Intune device management via Graph API. This application includes a fully developed Onboarding and Offboarding section that communicates with ServiceNow ticketing. I have since built a fully automated Onboarding process (using PowerShell) that reads ServiceNow and builds the accounts, imports them into Okta, provisions application access, and finally, licenses them in Office 365. The same has been done for offboarding.

What do I do? Well, in this role I would consider it closer to an R&D position for helping solve our companies global needs in regards to physical hardware, software, and cloud solutions. This can range from storage solutions to software distribution and imaging platforms. Whatever the need is, our small team tackles it and provides the final product. That's the Solutions Delivery part of my job.What I personally enjoy in my position is the automation I can provide using Powershell. Whether it's AD/Azure/Exchange/Exchange Online/SharePoint/Okta or Server applications, I'll script as much as possible to avoid repetitive tasks for my coworkers or just for fun. While this is currently the only language I know aside from a bit of Bash, I'm eager to learn others if there is an application for it. This has become an important part of my role in our organization, and is one I'd like to continue exploring.
