The South East Linux Fest is a community Linux and open source event that takes place every year in June. The event pulls around 800 people for the 3 day event. We go into event space of the hotel and have 1 day to shut down the hotels network, run over 7,000 of ethernet and over 1000 feet of fiber, deploy 20 APs, 6 switches and 5-10 linux servers. For the service we provide, open wifi for the guests and vendors, recording and live streaming of all talks, vote boxes and people counting system that tie into a database and LAN party.

I over see the Linux servers and VMware setup. I have also configured bgp at the ISP level.

I am the IT admin for SynTerra. I have done everything from upgrade xp to win7 to building a High-availability storage system with glusterfs. I have setup many Redhat/centos server and setup a VMware stack using ESXi 5 and Dell servers.
