Duties include analyzing loan documents, financial statements, rent rolls, construction reports and leases to determine viability of various borrower requests and potential credit risks to Starwood’s portfolio.• Expeditiously perform ad hoc requests for senior management in relation to various portfolio performance statistics and information as requested by large company investors.

• Rotated through the Originations, Investment Management, Real Estate Asset Management, and Loan Asset Management divisions of Starwood/LNR.• Loan Asset Management – Performed work-outs, restructures, and modifications on over $2 Billion worth of commercial real estate loans ranging in size from $5 Million to $190 Million in response to the COVID-19 crisis. Duties also included communicating and negotiating with high net worth owners/borrowers and high yield bond holders to determine the optimal decision for each loan. After a final solution was determined, written and oral presentations were provided to senior leadership. • Investment Management - Underwrote over $1 Billion worth of new issue retail, office, multifamily, hospitality, industrial and self-storage conduit loans ranging from $5 million to $95 million to evaluate the credit worthiness of underlying collateral for Starwood. Decisions made while underwriting helped determine the satisfactory risk of Starwood’s first loss/high yield bond positions.• Real Estate Asset Management - Managed and oversaw over 60 retail, office, mobile home, and mixed-use REO properties, which included performing valuations and approving leases. Approval processes included determining whether the lease was accretive to current value by analyzing income generated and tenant improvement costs on an IRR basis.
