I have always loved looking for patterns, gathering data, and acting on said data. Whether it's been out analyzing my parents in games of Memory as a kid or running my vinyl record-selling business using collected, organized, and evaluated data that I found myself. Data analysis has always been in my blood. I work at Cache Valley Antique Mall in Logan, Utah, and using my data analysis skills, I have made vinyl records the best-selling items in the store. I have organized a new system for shopping vinyl records and wholly cleaned, sorted, and priced an entire 4000+ records basement full of them. I also run the cash register, where I help customers. I have made good connections with the customers who come in so that I can find the music they want. I evaluate the sales pattern of the store to discover which records are most desirable to customers. Through examining the store's data, I calculated the total growth of the sales to increase from 7% to 11% of all the overall sales. Currently I…1. Attend Utah State University full-time, working towards a degree in data analysis with a minor in entrepreneurship. I'm always excited to grow my hard and soft skills. I always push myself, and I'm currently at a 3.89 GPA.2. Run my own vinyl record business. This involves selling vinyl records directly to customers through in-person and online sales. I track my sales with an Excel sheet I made, collecting over 2500 data points, in which I analyze the best-selling method for each record. 3. Preserve Utah's music history.
