Supervises productions as assigned, beginning with advance preparations, through load-in and performance, and concluding with load-out and all post-performance details. Advances, when assigned, all audio and/or lighting needs for all performances in the Great Hall and/or the Plaza Del Sol Performance Hall; serves as the supervising technician in lighting for all performances; supervises technicians and oversees all backstage and technical functions in the absence of the Technical Director and Director of Production; serves as a technician at various Valley Performing Arts Center (VPAC) events or performances when needed; ensures safety is always the highest priority and makes reasonable efforts to ensure quality of all performances and events; performs other duties as assigned.

Solicit and secure business for PSAV through a proactive, consultative sales approach and utilize PSAV’s sales process and sales standards. Manage PSAV’s sales process through proper utilization of the CRM system. Obtain definite bookings from the hotel, proactively contact customers, enter data into CRM database and create professional bids and proposals by actively using PSAV systems, resources and marketing tools. Utilize an understanding of costs associated with sales, including labor, commission and equipment outsourcing and work within established profitability guidelines. Presentations and site visits.

Supervise student and the overhire crew for set-up, performance, strike, and maintenance; manage and plan production elements of Center for the Arts presentations, university events, and community events in Smothers Theatre, Raitt Recital Hall, and Lindhurst Theatre; train student crew on safe and efficient back of house functions, including light board and sound board operation, running fly system, and other technical duties as necessary; serve as lead technician when necessary for Center for the Arts events, including operating lighting, sound, video, and rigging systems; communicate with Center for the Arts and Fine Arts staff on scheduling and theatre production needs; rent and purchase technical equipment and materials for shows and facility improvements.
