Hello - I am Zack Ramirez. I am a recent graduate of the School of Visual Arts (SVA) In NYC. I graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Arts majoring in Directing and minoring in Sound and currently workas an intern Sound Designer for an indie short film.I started my film journey in High School where I attended a magnet program in San Antonio, Texas. I directed shorts and also participated on over 30 productions. I have experience coordinating film festivals for film students to showcase their own shorts. During this time I gained a tremendous amount of experience in most of the elements of filmmaking. Film became a passion so I decided to pursue Film as a career and attend college at SVA in NYC.During my time at SVA, I started out directing my own shorts, but shortly discovered a new interest. Sound!While attending college I had the opportunity to study under and mentored by Oscar award winning Sound recordist, Chris Newman, and truly was inspired to start pursuing sound production. Most of my time in college I mainly worked on production recording sound for student shorts and freelance work. I have experience in creating short audio-visual video segments called "bumpers". Watching old Adult Swim commercials inspired me to create my own. They are my internal artist expressions and also a portrait of my aesthetic and design. I have the most experience with on-set Sound Mixing / Boom Operating.
