As I was growing up, I had a passion for sports and boating but I never really knew what I wanted to do when it came to my professional life. Before college, I worked at a local pizza shop, pushing through busy Friday and Saturday nights with my coworkers, ensuring our communication was top notch so as to not mess up any order. Although this was a very enriching experience, it really did not help me find a path that I wanted to go down, for college and my future. After getting into Florida State, I decided to declare myself as a business management major. Considering I did not know what I wanted to do, this seemed like a harmless and foolproof decision. After my first two semesters, I realized that management was not what I wanted to do, and after taking a few programming classes, I switched my major to Management Information Systems. Switching my major has allowed me to learn lots of valuable skills for the technology driven workforce, skills like C++ and Python programming languages, excel certifications, and a general deeper understanding of technology and its role in society. Now, I plan to pursue my master's degree in management information systems and get a minor in computer science. Now, looking ahead to my future after I graduate college, I want to get a technology focused job centered around the use of Artificial Intelligence. Currently, I am seeking out internships for the summer to gain some experience in my field before I enter the workforce.
