I'm responsible for managing a team of developers and building new integrations between the Brandwatch platform and 3rd-party applications. Brandwatch transferred me from Brighton to San Francisco for this position, and this will be their first technical team in America.My day to day duties include: *Management of team members, quarterly progress reviews and yearly performance reviews*Provision of technical guidance to the team as well as hands-on software development*Discussions and meetings with potential partners and Product Managers.*Working with the CTO on the medium and long-term evolution of the team*Managing the recruitment and induction process for new team members

I manage a team of Javascript and Java Developers, QA Engineers and Systems Administrators tasked with upgrading a large legacy code base to the latest version of Spring as well as making improvements to the build process, monitoring and test coverage.

I work in the systems and architecture team making Brandwatch faster, smarter and generally better at finding out what people are talking about on the web.

I manage a budget provided by the Informatics Department and am responsible for hiring, marketing, training and supervising facilitators.I ensure that hundreds of sessions are delivered each year, improving student experience, increasing student retention and graduation rates and helping Informatics students learn how to code.
