About Zack Ford
I've started a new journey in non-profit communications with the amazing organization for Alliance for Justice.I previously spent the better part of a decade as a political journalist covering LGBTQ issues and the Trump administration. At my heart, I'm an educator,but journalism and communications have provided amazing opportunities to track news developments and help the world at large understand their implications. It is the kind of difference-making work that keeps me incredibly motivated.I continue to work to build bridges between the LGBTQ and secular movements, speaking about one when in front of the other. I'm looking forward to an increasing number of opportunities to speak with student groups and other activists and advocates about how best to achieve social and political justice goals.In the meantime, I have also been able to pursue my passion for music on the side, working with the District Arts Collaborative, a community theatre organization here in Washington, DC. I have music-directed several cabaret shows and full productions for them and look forward to continuing to have this important outlet.Specialties: Reporting and investigation, social media and outreach, lecturing, program development and implementation, teaching, developing and conducting assessments , group facilitation, social justice, music, voice lessons, musical theatre, piano accompaniment
