Serves as the Wisconsin Academy of Sciences, Arts & Letters Director of Development to help expand its capacity during an exciting period of growth. An integral member of the team, designing and implementing an organizational development strategy under the guidance of the executive director and in partnership with program staff, the Academy’s Board of Directors, and the Wisconsin Academy Foundation’s Board of Directors. Provides leadership and works in partnership with the executive director and board to refine and implement a multi-year development strategy.The Wisconsin Academy is a place for people to connect with experts and learn from each other. Founded in 1870 to gather, share, and act upon knowledge for the betterment of Wisconsin, the Wisconsin Academy is a nonprofit membership organization with a history of service to the citizens of our state. Today, we showcase contemporary Wisconsin art at our James Watrous Gallery, examine science and culture in Wisconsin People & Ideas magazine, and explore pathways to a sustainable future through the Wisconsin Strategy Initiatives. Our Academy Courses and public talks provide opportunities for lifelong learning and personal enrichment, and we recognize excellence through our annual Fiction & Poetry Awards for emerging writers and Fellows Awards for leadership in and across disciplines. We also support the Wisconsin Poet Laureate, Wisconsin Visual Artists, the Cultural Coalition of Wisconsin, and other endeavors that help us to fulfill our mission: to create a better world by connecting Wisconsin people and ideas.

Served as a key member of WYSO's senior leadership team, assisting in the creative vision, planning, implementation and support of the organization's comprehensive development strategy.

Worked with the Executive Director and board to solicit support for this new Science Museum.

Worked with the Arts Institute to develop valuable relationships with corporate partners. Specifically, helping facilitate corporate collaborations and contributions that supported and helped grow the creative arts programs at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Helped establish, sustain and expand the Morgridge Institute during several of its formative years.

Led Duke University's strategic corporate relations program. Worked with the Provost, Vice Presidents and Deans to create win-win partnerships and collaborations with industry partners. Promoted from Associate Director after drafting a customized plan based on unique aspects of Duke's corporate relationships and opportunities.

Helped complete a $2.36 Billion fundraising campaign and established and managed Duke’s strategic Corporate Relations program (building alliances with several fortune 500 companies)

Promoted from Department Coordinator

Helped design and establish effective departmental processes for everything from communications to hiring and retention of faculty. Facilitated the work of the new Physics Chair and his staff as his Chief of Staff.

Hired as the first staff member on this $8.5M NSF MRSEC grant. Helped establish the new interdiciplinary research center and grow relationships with corporate partners.
