I designed and instruct our Intro to Video Editing course in the Journalism program. I also teach Documentary Production to second year students. My position includes a cross-platform role as support staff for the students, instructors and various courses in the program. The role includes assistance in TV News with script and edit vetting, marking, some lecturing, software training and support, performance and presentation training, and equipment management, training and support. The role also has a large digital media component involving overseeing digital content production, editing and marking web posts for various courses, instructing and tracking student work on social media and the BCITNews wordpress website. I helped develop a graphics package and text-over-video template for the BCITNews social media platforms as well as an online course-manual site for student use.

I am a multi-instrumentalist, singer, performer and composer of many different styles of music. As a graduate of the UBC Bachelor of Music program, I have had years of experience studying music performance and composition, giving my music a unique edge. Aside from voice, my instruments include saxophone, piano, guitar, harmonica, various wind instruments and accordion. Recent performances have included traditional Beijing Opera with North Star Performing Arts, folk/blues performances with singer-songwriter Carly Wignes, and pop opera with international touring pop-opera quartet Il Voce . I have explored many different cultures, performing music in Italian, French, German, Spanish, Latin, Hebrew, Russian and Mandarin. I will always continue to discover, create, and perform wherever life may take me.

Miku is a high end Japanese restaurant that specializes in the aburi style cooking tradition. Because the menu is often very foreign to our guests, we have the opportunity to help educate guests about our food, beverages, and cooking processes. Sometimes I even take care of planning the entire experience for guests if they please. I describe and explain all of the food brought to each guest and make sure they have an outstanding and exceptional experience at the restaurant.

Creating, producing, managing, and promoting media and digital content for nationwide Ride Don’t Hide fundraising campaign. My job includes building weekly social media kits for 28 CMHA branches across Canada.

Worked for one month with CTV Morning Live helping manage social media posts, producing segments for the show, and managing communication and preparation with guests.

One of my favourite hobbies for years became a source of part time employment. I photographed anything from professional head shots to photos of pets! I've even put together a few photo journals for The Province Newspaper.

Taught private and semi-private piano and voice lessons to students of varying levels, ranging from ages 4-18. I was responsible for the musical education plan for over 30 students.
