Helping people is my happy place. If it's a small problem or a life threatening emergency, I want to be there. My wife, Vanessa and I started SureFire CPR in 2009 (in the living room of our apartment) because I knew there was a way we could make the classes more fun. If they were fun, people would be empowered to act in an emergency and save more lives.With a lot of hard work (and a handful of mistakes), we've built a team that has accomplished that goal. To date we've trained over 280,000 people how to save lives the lives of their friends, families, and coworkers. We're still growing, with the goal to impact the lives of 1,000,000 people and create a foundation to provide free CPR training to every high school kid in America CPR before they graduate. On a personal note, back in 2008 I fractured my back on the job and wasn't sure if I was going to be able to go back to the fire truck. I started learning about real estate investing as a back-up plan. The investing went well and I've been an avid investor ever since. Now we specialize in value-add commercial real estate (retail properties specifically) in the Midwest. My back healed up and I continued on with my career in the fire service, but also became very active in real estate investing.When I'm not working you'll find me chasing around my 2 daughters, waterskiing, doing triathlons, or searching for the best hole-in-the-wall restaurants on the planet!
