As an assurance professional at the associate level, I have served a variety of public and private clients in the retail, medical devices, manufacturing and energy industries. My primary responsibilities include designing and executing tests of internal controls, performing walkthroughs of significant classes of transactions, and completing various substantive testing procedures for my clients' quarterly and year end financial statements. In addition to my client service responsibilities, I serve as a peer advisor and mentor to EY student interns and first year staff and participate in campus recruiting at the University of Oklahoma.

In the Graduate Program Office, I work as an assistant to the advisors of the MBA (full time and part time), Master of Accountancy, MIS Graduate Certificate and PhD in Business Administration programs. My responsibilities are mostly administrative tasks such as phone and mail correspondence and distributing recruitment materials.

As a Global Student Intern, I was one of 51 interns from around the globe chosen to complete my internship in a foreign country. I received training and orientation in the Dallas office of Ernst & Young before departing for Calgary, Alberta where I was exchanged with a Canadian student who completed her internship in the United States. Throughout the duration of my internship, I served on four engagement teams serving telecommunication and energy companies and worked on projects ranging from quarterly reviews to pension plan asset audits in both US GAAP and IFRS.

As a summer intern I spent the majority of my time learning about wealth management, particularly fee-based investment advising. Throughout the summer I worked on projects related to variable annuities, variable universal life insurance policies and spent time reviewing mutual funds and real estate investments for inclusion in risk-based asset allocation models. Additionally, I successfully completed a study course and practice examination for the FINRA Series 6 licensing examination.
