As the platoon commander, it was my job to direct these Marines in support of Battalion operations as well as advise the Battalion Commander on capabilities and limitations in a combat environment.

Provided tactical advice, administrative, and logisitical support to Scout Sniper teams spread out over more than 100 square kilometers in remote areas of southern Afghanistan.

Sole advisor to two separate Afghan National Army Company Commanders consisting of more than 200 Afghan soldiers. I advised each commander on leadership, tactics, military operations in combat, logistics, public relations, information operations, counterinsurgency, and relationship building with the Afghan Local Police, Afghan Uniformed Police, and Afghan citizens.

Directly responsible to for the initial training of more than 2000 entry-level infantry Marines. Supervised and led the Anti-Armor section in all manner of things related to classroom instruction, curriculum development / modifcation, program of instruction creation, and training & readiness manual revision. Hand-selected to deploy to the Republic of Georgia and train more than 300 Georgian soldiers for their upcoming deployment to Afghanistan in support of the NATO-ISAF mission.
