Truman was selected as Lead Inspector for Auxiliary Division resulting in the FLAWLESS visual, dimensional, and nondestructive tests of all Auxiliary Machinery onboard to include 40 Water Heaters, 18 Fire pumps, 10 300 ton Air-conditioning units, all potable water and associated systems/piping, low pressure air and associated systems/piping, and two Cryogenic plants and associated equipment/piping.• Selected to manage 103 personnel in the daily operation, preventive and corrective maintenance of shipboard auxiliary equipment including steam catapult systems, hydraulic systems, cryogenic systems, air conditioning and refrigeration systems, salt water pumps, low pressure air and associated systems, and two Cryogenic plants and associated equipment, and waste management systems. • Ranked #1 SAILOR out of 1,500 resulting in Command Promotion and ENGINEER & SAILOR OF THE YEAR.• Improved efficiency of training for 170 personnel resulting in a 75% increase in promotions. • Volunteered to serve as the Training Officer overseeing the record management of 314 personnel and ensuring 100% compliance with the Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy's guidelines in regards to training and mentorship.• Recognized as “one of the best on the waterfront” by inspectors from Naval Board of Inspections.

Auxiliary Engineer, USS Harry S Truman, Norfolk VA, 2007 - 2009• Planning installation, replacement, and inspection techniques and performing maintenance on 12 Centrifugal Fire pumps, 10 300 ton A/C Units, 45 Water Heaters, and all shipboard salt and freshwater plumbing and piping ensuring quality assurance and safety guidelines were being met.• Personally trained over 550 personnel in shipboard conveyor operation resulting in over 15,000 pallets carrying over $10 Million worth of perishable and nonperishable goods during 30 underway replenishments with 0 safety mishaps!• Applying technical specifications from equipment manuals to diagnose and repair systems resulted in the ship’s ability to maintain a highly structured inspection schedule resulting in multiple excellence awards from Naval Inspection Teams.• Ranked #1 SAILOR out of 2,300 resulting in selection as ENGINEER & SAILOR OF THE YEAR.
