Working as a busser at Volare was the best possible second job I could have acquired, as it allowed me to maximize my time over the summer of 2019. After working a desk job at King Southern Bank from 8:30 to 4:30, I was always full of energy and ready for the dinner rush at Volare. There, I learned an incalculable amount of practical skills and how to be as efficient as possible, because if you're not efficient as a busser, you aren't getting tipped out!

Working as a bank teller was my first desk job, and it provided an excellent opportunity for me to hone my personal finance acuity as well as my interpersonal skills. Over the course of three summers, I handled day-to-day operations at multiple bank branches and progressed until I was given the responsibility of lockbox processing operations that involved six-figure payments made by mail.

Working for the Bats as a game day usher was my first paid position and provided me with my first opportunity to go seek out and earn the job that I wanted. At 16, I definitely was the youngest member of the team when I started, but over the years, I learned so much about how to be professional and deliver a great gameday experience for our fans. I did this in a number of roles including as a ticket scanner, a program seller, and primarily as an usher who would show fans to their seat and ensure they would enjoy the game. I also learned a ton about minor league baseball from three years of watching every game-- if there are any scouts on here-- hit me up!
